On April 4th at 7pm local time, a big fire broke out near Ilsung Resort in Goseong and quickly, the fire spread to Sokcho. The following day, South Korea announced the occurrence of disasters for Goseong and Inje and the cities of Sokcho, Gangneung and Donghae in Gangwon Province.

On the same day, Jung Woo Sung and Lee Sung Kyung donated 50 million won. The four Black Pink members (Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, Rose) also donated 10 million won (around Rp. 123 million) each for relief efforts, totaling 40 million won (around Rp.494 million).
