"The Last Empress" aired the final episode on Thursday (2/21). The SBS drama starring Shin Sung Rok and Jang Nara was closed in the 52nd episode after previously being extended by 4 episodes.

Interestingly, the last episode of "The Last Empress" was recorded to experience a fairly dramatic rating surge from the previous episode. If the drama starring Choi Jin Hyuk previously won a rating of 11.7 percent and 13.8 percent, the last episode successfully earned 14.1 percent and 16.5 percent.

Unfortunately despite still being the leader of the slot Wednesday - Thursday night, the last episode of "The Last Empress" actually received negative comments. Netter protests because the character Lee Hyuk (Shin Sung Rok) was murdered and judged without clear guidance from the script writer.

On the other hand, the rating increase was also enjoyed by KBS's "Liver or Die" which won 12.7 percent and 14.4 percent. Meanwhile, "Spring Turns to Spring" remained slumped with ratings of 2.1 percent and 2.4 percent.

Then for cable TV, "Touch Your Heart" TVN experienced a slight decrease in rating from the previous episode. The romantic drama starring Yoo In Na and Lee Dong-wook recorded a rating of 3.9 percent.

Meanwhile, "The Last Empress" will be replaced by the drama "Big Issue" starting March 6. The drama starring Han Ye Seul told the frenzied work of the paparazzi media.
