‘Running Man’ Can Be Hard Warning After Displaying Sexual Harassment Scene - 'Running Man' gets a strong warning from the Korean Communications Standards Commission (KCSC).
The warning was posted on SBS's variety show program, because it was considered to have aired scenes of male sexual abuse.
The scene in question is in the 'Running Man' episode which aired on August 26, 2018.
In the episode, Lee Kwang Soo pulls his pants and exposes the panties used by Kim Jong Kook, when he is hanging on a metal rod. Although Kim Jong Kook's genitals have been censored by the producer 'Running Man'.
The KCSC said that the scene violated television broadcasting regulations in South Korea. As they say, "We oppose actions that can make someone feel sexually humiliated, no matter men or women."
"Even though the scene shows a naked man or showing someone's underwear can be done without evil intentions, it can still be classified as male sexual abuse."
In addition to 'Running Man', the drama 'Hide and Seek' on MBC also received a similar warning after airing a naked male scene in a sauna. (www.kpopchart.net)
