"My Ajusshi" held a press conference on Wednesday (11/4). IU who was present with Lee Sun Gyun, Park Ho San, Song Sae Byuk and director Kim Won Suk discussed the reason for receiving the role offer in this tvN drama.
In "My Ajusshi", IU plays Lee Ji An who leads a life of trouble. Owner Lee Ji Eun's name seems to have thought to deny the role because of lolita controversy a few years ago.
"As a singer, I'm aware of the controversy following an album I've released, I thought maybe the delivery was not smooth and if I did not reflect on the mistakes, there would be angry people," he said.
IU claimed to want to be more careful for the future. He even asked whether director Kim Won Suk knew the controversy. Star "Moon Lovers" was even said initially did not want digaet be the main character.
"If I think my controversy and the script is not going well, I'll take it further, but reading it from a pure point of view, feels like a good script with good people, the director also gives me confidence, so I say I'll do my best." he continued.
