After nearly 15 years of promotions under the auspices of SM Entertainment, TVXQ decided to extend the contract with the agency.
Today (6/2), SM Entertainment confirmed that Yunho and Changmin have renewed their contract even before their second contract expires.
After completing the draft, Yunho and Changmin discussed their long-term activities and vision of the future with SM Entertainment. They then decided to continue their partnership with the agency with strong trust and affection.
TVXQ itself debuted in December 2003 with five members, U-Know Yunho, Max Changmin, Hero Jaejoong, Micky Yoochun and Xiah Junsu. But in 2009, three members (Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu) filed a lawsuit against SM about a contract that took too long (13 years). After the conflict, Yunho and Changmin returned in 2011 as a duo by sticking to the TVXQ name.
Along with the extension of the contract, TVXQ reportedly also has prepared their long-awaited comeback, which is currently planned for next March.
