"Colony" has reached 4 million viewers in 14 days, setting a new record as the fastest Korean film of 2026 to achieve this milestone.


The latest South Korean horror thriller, "Colony," has successfully reached 4 million viewers in just two weeks of its official release.


According to data from the Korean Film Council, the film has recorded a cumulative total of 4,000,131 viewers as of June 3rd at 5:12 PM local time.


This remarkable achievement was achieved by the film in just fourteen days after its premiere.


"Colony" has now officially been crowned the fastest Korean film released in 2026 to reach the four million viewer mark in theaters.


Previously, this feature film successfully attracted 1 million viewers on its fourth day and 2 million on its fifth day.


The box office performance continued to skyrocket, reaching 3 million viewers on its tenth day of release.


By surpassing 4 million viewers on its fourteenth day, the film continues to set new history as the fastest film of the year.


This work is directed by Yeon Sang Ho, who previously directed the legendary zombie film "Train to Busan" and its sequel, "Peninsula."


The story of "Colony" focuses on a group of survivors in a blockaded building due to a dangerous viral mutation that triggers an unexpected zombie evolution.


The film stars a star-studded cast of top Korean actors and actresses, including Jun Ji Hyun, Ji Chang Wook, Shin Hyun Been, Kim Shin Rok, Koo Kyo Hwan, and Go Soo.
