Billboard Korea is rumored to be holding a new awards show.
Billboard Korea announced on July 6, 2024 that it will hold the Billboard Awards entitled K POWER 100.
The event will be held on August 27 at the Hyundai Card Music Library located in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
The Billboard POWER 100 is an event that annually releases a list of the POWER 100 influential figures in the global music industry, recognizing and celebrating their achievements.
The Billboard K POWER 100 awards were held to commemorate the launch of Billboard Korea, which is a global event that invites influential figures from the world of Korean and Asian music who have left a mark on the Korean music industry and highlights their hard work and achievements.
The Billboard K POWER 100 Awards will be attended by Billboard representatives and key industry officials from each country, including Billboard headquarters president Mike Van and editor-in-chief Hannah Karp, as well as recognized music industry leaders not only in Korea but also in Asia .
The event is expected to be a gathering place for prominent leaders and innovators to celebrate K-pop's achievements.
Previously, in April, Mike Van made an official visit to Korea and held a press conference commemorating the launch of Billboard Korea with Kim Yuna, publisher and CEO of Billboard Korea.
Today, the two people presented Billboard Korea's operational plans at the head office and Korean branch level respectively, as well as discussing various things about K-pop, whose status is increasing day by day throughout the world.
