The latest episode of 'My Ugly Duckling' showed Lee Dong Gun traveling to Jeju Island and visiting actor Gu Bon Seung. They discussed each other's single status.
Lee Dong Gun has been divorced from Jo Yoon Hee for about 4 years. In the latest episode of "My Ugly Duckling" which was broadcast on Sunday (26/7), the man born in 1980 explained the reason why he hasn't dated again after Yoon Hee divorced him.
The latest episode of "My Ugly Duckling" showed Dong Gun traveling to Jeju Island and visiting actor Gu Bon Seung, his close friend. Bon Seung has lived in Jeju for 9 years because of his hobby of fishing.
Dong Gun also said that he would stay on Jeju Island for a week. However, Bon Seung worriedly said, "It's nice to have you here with me, but I'm afraid you'll end up like me."
Bon Seung continued, "It's already dark here at 8 p.m., and there are few people around. It's impossible to date someone in this condition." Bon Seung revealed that it has been 18 years since his last love affair.
Bon Seung became curious about Dong Gun's love life after they divorced in 2020. "What about you? Have you dated anyone lately?" asked Bon Seung. However, Dong Gun said he was still single.
Dong Gun also revealed why he hasn't dated since Yoon Hee divorced him. "The thing is, my child is still small. He is still too young to fully understand what is happening between his parents. At this point, it seems like dating someone is something I should not do for the good of my child," said the actor.
Dong Gun and Gu Bon Seung are equally lamenting about their situation, two single men sitting around doing nothing but discussing their non-existent dating lives. Bon Seung wants to go fishing and asks Dong Gun to go with him.
Bon Seung said that he wanted to propose to his future girlfriend using a fishing boat. He had even prepared his proposal dialogue in the form of, "You are the biggest catch I have ever caught." However, Dong Gun immediately joked, "Those are the worst proposal words." (wk/charity)
