"We report that our artist suffered mental damage caused by serious acts of defamation involving sexual harassment, personally offensive posts, and spreading false information, and invasion of privacy against Kwon Eunbi," explained Woolim Entertainment.
Woolim Entertainment then explained that the crimes that befell Kwon Eunbi did not only involve harassment.
"We are taking action against criminals who carelessly defamed Kwon Eunbi, insulted her, uploaded malicious posts regarding sexual harassment, spread false information, malicious slander, and distributed fictional pornographic photos using the artist's photo," he said.
"We have collected a number of posts and submitted the first complaint, the police are currently investigating it," he added.
Based on the evidence collected, Kwon Eunbi's agency admitted that it would not take any relief in related cases that were regulated in the Communication Information Network Law and the Criminal Law.
"We will continue to do our best to protect our artists by actively collecting evidence and self-monitoring against malicious posts.
"We will do our best to protect the personal rights and reputation of our artists," Woolim said.
