Jo Ji Hoon described Sun Kyun as a good colleague and senior actor. The actor said working with Sun Kyun is always a rewarding experience.
Joo Ji Hoon recently underwent an interview with local media regarding his role in the film "Project Silence". The actor also remembered the late Lee Sun Kyun, who starred with him in the film.
Ji Hoon described Sun Kyun as a good colleague and senior actor. The actor born in 1982 added that working with Sun Kyun is always a valuable experience.
"Sun Kyun and I have similar personalities and tastes," said Ji Hoon. The actor then told how he and Sun Kyun often hung out together in between filming "Project Silence".
"While some people spend time alone after filming and resting, we are not like that. Two or three of us will get together, drink, and talk a lot. We are people who can't divide work and activities after work well. We didn't have proper meetings with laptops, but we ate, drank and talked about this project every day without fail," he said.
Even though they have different approaches to acting, Ji Hoon and Sun Kyun learn from each other. "Sun Kyun is more detailed than me. He is the type who pays attention to details in rehearsals and discussions," said Ji Hoon.
Ji Hoon continued, "In situations where I might think, 'It's okay to take a little dramatic liberty through editing,' he's the type to say 'That doesn't make sense' and express his opinion."
"Project Silence" was Sun Kyun's last project before he died allegedly by suicide. Ji Hoon sadly said, "Sun Kyun hyung is a good senior actor, so I have happy memories with him."
Apart from that, Ji Hoon also talked about facing physical obstacles when he had to act in a narrow car trunk. "It felt like my shoulder was going to break," he said. Even though it was difficult, Ji Hoon admitted that the scene was very important to add authenticity to the film.
Meanwhile, "Project Silence" will be released on July 12. Don't miss watching it. (wk/charity)
