Recently, songwriter Jo Yoon Kyung expressed her feelings for writing the lyrics for EXO's "Love Shot". He also explained the important message of the song.

Jo Yoon Kyung then explained that SM Entertainment's style was different from other agencies. According to him, the SM staff had instructed the songwriters to include a "bigger message" in order to reach more people.
