Lee Jung Jae is known to be returning to star in the drama 'Squid Game' for the second season.
Reportedly, the friend of the handsome actor Jung Woo Sung was paid up to billions of rupiah for each episode.
Launching Allkpop, Tuesday (11/10/2022), based on media outlet reports, actor Lee Jung Jae's fee for each episode of Netflix's 'Squid Game' season 2 is estimated at 700 thousand US dollars or approximately Rp. 10 billion.
If the second season consists of nine episodes like the first season, it is estimated that Lee Jung Jae could pocket as much as 6.3 million US dollars or approximately Rp. 96 billion for his appearance in the South Korean heist series that caused an uproar in the world.
Insiders say that season 2 of 'Squid Game' is expected to start filming sometime next year. Lee Jung Jae himself is rumored to have signed for the project with a guaranteed payment of 700 thousand US dollars or the equivalent of Rp. 10 billion per episode.
Then, the director, Hwang Dong Hyuk, is also known to have received a large amount of incentive payments for season 2.
