The agency IST Entertainment has finally announced that Heo Chan will be leaving VICTON.
This was allegedly the aftermath of the shocking actions of VICTON's Heo Chan some time ago. The idol was caught driving drunk.
Launching Soompi, Wednesday (12/10/2022), the agency finally arrived at the decision to disconnect Heo Chan from the group in order to prevent 'further damage' to VICTON. Thus, Heo Chan was decided to leave the group permanently.
Last month, Heo Chan stopped all activities and offered a handwritten apology after driving under the influence of alcohol.
The following is IST Entertainment's full statement regarding the departure of Heo Chan.
"Hello. This is IST Entertainment.
We sincerely thank all the fans who have cared for VICTON, and we are making this announcement regarding the lineup change.
After careful discussion with all VICTON members including Heo Chan, it has been decided that Heo Chan will be leaving the group.
This decision was made taking into account the opinions of Heo Chan, who said that he did not want to cause further harm (to the group), and other members.
We apologize for worrying fans once again through this sudden news, and we ask for your generous understanding.
Therefore, VICTON will be reorganized as a six-member group consisting of Han Seung Woo, Kang Seungsik, Im Sejun, Do Hanse, Choi Byungchan, and Jung Subin; and their “2020 VICTON FAN CONCERT [CHRONICLE]” and other scheduled future activities will be carried out by five members besides Han Seung Woo, who is currently serving in the military.
Currently, the VICTON members are working hard and pouring their sweat to prepare for their performance at the “2020 VICTON FAN CONCERT (CHRONICLE),” which their fans have been waiting for a long time.
