This is the first time any artist, any song, has ever reached #1 on the Melon Top 100 chart less than 24 hours after release, since the chart was rebranded in August 2021.
BTS (Bangtan Boys) has just made a comeback with an anthology album titled "Proof" which was released today, Friday (10/6). About an hour after its global release, the comeback title track, "Yet To Come (The Most Beautiful Moment)" has reached #1 on Melon's Top 100 chart.
This is the first time any artist, any song, has ever reached #1 on the "concrete" chart known as the Melon Top 100 less than 24 hours after its release, since the chart underwent a rebranding in August 2021. An impressive feat. from BTS!
Previously, Melon rebranded the 24Hits chart and Realtime 24Hits chart to become the Top 100 chart and Realtime chart. The newly renamed Top 100 chart combines total plays in a 24-hour period with total plays in the last hour (50:50 ratio) to determine the most popular songs on the streaming platform.
In addition to debuting at #1 on the Top 100 chart, "Yet To Come" also debuted at #1 on the Realtime Melon chart soon after its release. There is no doubt that this long-awaited comeback will add to the list of BTS' incredible achievements.
Meanwhile, BTS will be performing "Yet To Come", the title track from their anthology album, "Proof", live for the first time on the special broadcast of "Run BTS" at 9 pm KST on June 13. In addition to various solo tracks, unit songs, special songs, and more, "Proof" includes 3 new songs, including "Yet To Come," and the other two are "Run BTS" and "For Youth."
The title song "Yet To Come" is a medium-tempo alternative hip-hop genre with lyrics that promise a brighter future for BTS and their fans.
