The latest film starring Ma Dong Seok and Son Seok Gu “The Outlaws 2” also known as “The Roundup” got off to an impressive start at the Korean box office. On the morning of May 20, the Korean Film Council announced that the day before, "The Outlaws 2" has officially surpassed 1 million moviegoers while remaining #1 at the box office.
By the time it was announced, the film had already reached 1,016,693 moviegoers. The highly anticipated sequel to Ma Dong Seok and Yoon Kye Sang's 2017 action films “The Outlaws”, “The Outlaws 2” follows the exciting adventures of legendary detective Ma Seok Do and the police station's violent crime squad as they fight to eradicate crime.
Meanwhile, "The Outlaws 2" previously also set a new record as the largest box office opening in South Korea since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Meanwhile the film begins 4 years after a sweeping operation in Garibong-dong, Detective Ma Seok Do with Captain Jeon Il Man and his team heads to Vietnam to extradite the suspect, but soon after his arrival, he discovers an additional murder case and learns about Kang Hae Sang, a ruthless killer who has been committing crimes against tourists for several years for money.
In Vietnam, the two fail to catch Kang Hae Sang, who killed the only son of a Korean business tycoon. They return to Korea to pursue the killer after smuggling him into the country to blackmail a business tycoon.
