In a special episode of 'Penthouse' Season 3 which was released on Wednesday (2/6), On Joo Wan revealed the reason for joining as well as providing a short spoiler like the following.
On Wednesday (2/6), SBS released a special episode of "Penthouse" season 3 entitled "Hidden Room: The Beginning of the End". In this episode, On Joo Wan opened up about his participation in the drama.
As is known, On Joo Wan plays a mysterious man named Joon Gi who appears in the last episode of "Penthouse" season 2. He is suspected of being one of the suspects behind Logan's car explosion, because he left his bag in the car just before it exploded.
First of all, On Joo Wan revealed that he was the "Insider" track "Penthouse" cast. Because he was able to join the cast because Uhm Ki Joon, who played Joo Dan Tae, was introduced to the scriptwriter of this drama, Kim Soon Ok.
"Ki Joon hyung asked me if I wanted to meet writer Kim Soon Ok and introduce me to him," said the 1983-born actor.
On Joo Wan then gave a leak about the personality of his character, Joon Gi. According to him, he is a villain who is ready to bring new dynamics to the story of "Penthouse 3".
He explained, "(The author) said, 'I wish your character was a hero. But I heard from different people that he's not a hero.'
"I thought he would destroy evil like the Avengers. But according to the director and what I heard through the grapevine, he is a villain," he continued.
Although the character is most likely a villain, On Joo Wan believes that he was not involved with Logan Lee's car explosion. He explained, "There is no connection between the explosion and Joon Gi. He left his bag and disappeared."
"His bag may be visible and if there is a bomb in it, why was he not caught earlier (during the airport check)? I don't think he tried to kill Logan Lee. After all, nothing is certain in this drama," he concluded.
Meanwhile, "Penthouse 3" is rumored to have an increasingly exciting and unpredictable plot since the early episodes. "Penthouse 3" will also reveal surprising and unexpected changes in the relationships between characters.
The third season of this drama begins on Friday (4/6) tomorrow. Unlike the previous two seasons, "Penthouse 3" will only air one episode per week. (wk/eval)
