PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) recently accused BTS of promoting animal cruelty.
This was triggered after BTS collaborated with a McDonald's fast food restaurant, to launch the 'BTS Meal' menu.
In a recent post on PETA Asia's Instagram, they said BTS had helped promote animal cruelty.
As they wrote, “Look what an activist in Malaysia posted! BTS, don't disappoint your fans. Stop promoting dead chickens!”
“The BTS Meal menu at McDonald's includes chicken nuggets made from tortured bird meat. Loving BTS fans remind the group that chicken is not a nugget, but a sentient being.”
“The majority of chickens killed for meat live their entire lives in cramped, dirty cages before being loaded onto open air transport trucks and taken to slaughter, where they are hanged upside down and their throats slit while conscious.”
“Whenever you see chicken on the menu, remember the animal that lived a miserable life and died a cruel, painful death. No animal wants to be killed, and since eating meat is unnecessary, raising and killing chickens for food is animal cruelty. If you don't want to contribute to this suffering, be vegan today," they wrote on Instagram. (www.kpopchart.net)
