A recent BTS interview touched on how people talk more about Jin's handsome face when performing with BTS, instead of his singing ability.
BTS (Bangtan Boys) conducted an interview with the Indian YouTube channel E NOW. Jin talked about a handsome face that had been thought to cover his singing talent.
During the interview, Sakshma Srivastav asked BTS members one by one on different topics. Jin who is known by his nickname "Worldwide Handsome" was asked about his face.
The interviewer mentioned how people talk more about Jin's handsome face when appearing with BTS. But the owner of the name Kim Seokjin doesn't seem to agree if his face is said to overshadow his ability as a singer.
"I don't think that my face overshadows my singing ability. Looking handsome is actually a plus factor, not a minus," replied the 1992-born singer.
"Of course, faces can distract you a bit, but I think it's an added factor and not something that takes away something else. It's like adding decorations to a delicious meal."
Jin is always proud of his handsome face all the time. But that doesn't mean he just wants to be known for his handsome face. As a singer, the ability to sing is of course the most important. A handsome face is just a complement.
Meanwhile, BTS recently made a comeback with the English single "Butter", which has broken records here and there. They have also performed it for the first time at the prestigious music awards event at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards.
For the event which took place on the evening of May 23 local time, BTS took home the trophies for Top Duo/Group, Top Song Sales Artist, Top Social Artist, and Top Selling Song for "Dynamite". The group scored wins for all four nominations they received.
"Butter" also became BTS's fourth song to top the prestigious Billboard Hot 100 chart in its first week of debut, following "Dynamite", "Savage Love (Laxed - Siren Beat) [BTS Remix]" and "Life Goes On". (wk/chus)
