EXO Xiumin returns to his career in the theater world by starring in the latest musical.
Recently the EXO members were announced as one of the stars of the musical "Hadestown" in the Korean version.
"Hadestown" is a musical adapted from the Greek myths of Orpheus and Eurydice and premiered on Broadway in March 2019. The musical won several awards at the 73rd Tony Awards as well as the winner of Best Musical Theater Album at the 2020 Grammy Awards.
In this Korean version of 'Hadestown', Xiumin and Park Kang Hyun and Jo Hyung Gyun will play Orpheus, the human child and one of the Muses, who is gifted with great musical power.
Choi Jae Rim and Kang Hong Suk will play Hermes, who starts and ends the musical and introduces the audience to the mythological world. Kim Sun Young and Park Hye Na will play Persephone, who is described as a fun, friendly, and sharp person. Kim Hwan Hee and Kim Soo Ha act as independent and strong-willed Eurydice. Ji Hyun Joon, Yang Joon Mo, and Kim Woo Hyung will play Hades, the king of the Underworld.
The musical "Hadestown" will be held in August at the LG Art Center in Gangnam, Seoul, South Korea. This will be the first performance of the musical "Hadestown" in South Korea. (www.kpopchart.net)
