Who would have thought that the singer from South Korea, LambC, almost debuted as a member of an Indonesian band.

Recently in an exclusive interview with K-Touch Indonesia, LambC talked about his new album to his love for the Indonesian music industry.

K-Touch Indonesia itself is a collaborative program between KOC TV and Kpop Chart which aims to connect musicians and singers from South Korea to audiences and fans in Indonesia.

At first he talked about the meaning of the stage name LambC which turned out to be taken from his nickname from his friends in Korea, "Lamb-si".

Regarding his reasons for getting into music, LambC explained, “I started playing music at church, so that was a big part of why I got into music. Starting from playing the trumpet, then the piano, but I didn't really like it so I moved to the drums, and from there it was all about music. "

Regarding the thing that excited and had the most difficulty in making the album 'I'll See You When I See You', LambC said, “The part that excited me the most was that I was able to produce an album with my close friend, a former roommate at Berklee, his name was SH, he will also be releasing an album soon. "

“Usually I have a hard time writing songs with other people, because I really know what I want musically, sometimes it creates conflicts between writers. But with him, we have good chemistry. So whenever I write songs he likes it, and whenever he writes songs I like. So it was very smooth and fun. "

“I think the most difficult thing on this album is because this album has 12 songs, and I have a deadline of about 3 months to finish it, from writing, recording, and mastering, so the timing is really tough. But in the end I thought everything was worth it, "he said.

Regarding the reason for collaborating with Stella Jang on the title song 'Fortune Teller', “When SH and I wrote 'Fortune Teller', for some reason we both knew that this had to be a duet song with a female artist. And in my head is Stella noona, it's like Stella's song. After we did the demo, I sent it to Stella and she said, 'Geez this song is great, I want to do it'. And after that everything went smoothly. "

When asked about Indonesia, LambC surprisingly admitted that he had almost debuted as a member of the Indonesian band, EDEN.

As he said, “Interestingly, I started my 'official' music career in Malaysia, the campus is called IKOM. On campus there are many musicians from many countries. But, one thing for sure is that musicians from Indonesia are the most musical compared to others. "

"So I have the opportunity to play with people like Yahuda, I don't know if he will see this. And when it comes to the Indonesian music industry, I used to be in a band called EDEN. They are still active, I'm sure they still have a career in the music world. I almost signed a contract with the band EDEN in Indonesia. Ryan is a close friend of mine there. "

“I used to listen to a bassist named Barry Likumahuwa. And I once dreamed of performing at the Java Jazz Festival. So I really like the Indonesian music industry, I think the music there cannot be matched by the music of other countries, even if it is compared to the United States, "said LambC.
