"Super Band" audition program will enter its second season this year. After previously being reported as producers Lee Hyori and her husband Lee Sang Soon, JTBC announced a list of the judges who will be attending the program.
"Super Band" is a project that invites musicians of all genres without certain restrictions to create a super band and compete with each other. Participants come from various backgrounds regardless of age, nationality, educational background, and even gender. This program is the third music project of the producers "Hidden Singer" and "Phantom Singer".
Recently, JTBC announced the broadcast schedule and a series of names of the judges who will attend. CL, Yoo Hee Yeol, Lee Sang Soon will join the first season producers Yoon Jong Shin and Yoon Sang. Meanwhile, the MC will still be held by Jun Hyun Moo.
In order to become a judge for the second season of "Super Band", CL had to return from the United States to South Korea. The production team hopes that CL with global experience and insight can add depth and give the program a new color. CL has gained a lot of experience while being active with the group 2NE1 which is popular internationally.
Apart from CL, Yoon Jong Shin, Yoon Sang, and Yoo Hee Yeol who have experience filling audition programs such as "Superstar K", "Phantom Singer", "Birth of a Great Star", "K-Pop Star" and "Sing Again" . Viewers can look forward to the chemistry of Yoon Jong Shin and Yoo Hee Yeol, who are singers with different styles who are working together for the first time on an audition program.
On Wednesday (26/5), JTBC announced "Super Band" Season 2 will premiere on June 21 at 21:00 local time. After five rounds of auditions, the second season of "Super Band" has finished screening the contestants on Sunday (9/5).
Meanwhile, contestants come from diverse musical backgrounds such as classical genres, K-Pop, rock, EDM, hip hop, jazz and many more. Unlike the first season, this season "Super Band" will have more female musicians. (wk / wahy)
