Predicted for Oscar, 'Minari' Becomes the Best Film of the American Film Institute

The film from South Korea entitled Minari won international achievements. Minari became one of the best films selected by the American Film Institute in the top ten AFI Movies of The Year.

On January 25th, the American Film Institute announced this, "The AFI Awards are created through a jury process in which AFI coaches, artists, critics, determine the most outstanding achievements of the year and provide an artistic and cultural context for the selection of each awardee."

The Minari film, starring Steven Yeon, Han Yeri, Alan Kim, Noel Kate Cho, Yoon Yuh Jung and Will Patton, tells the story of a Korean family who immigrated to America in the 1980s hoping to have a better start in life.

This film, written and directed by Korean-American male, Lee Isaac Chung, has received 41 wins out of 90 nominations from global film associations around the world.

American media Variety even predicted that Minari would be awarded the Oscars for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, along with Best Actor and Best Supporting Actress for Steven Yeon and Yoon Yuh Jung./yahoo.com
