Tiffany and Agency responded to the twin fandom names with TXT - Even though Big Hit Still Has No Response, Tiffany and Transparent Agency Speak Up to Respond to the Similarity of TXT Fandom with Members of Girls' Generation.
Thursday (25/4) should be a historic day for TXT fans. Because on that day, Big Hit Entertainment as the agency overseeing TXT announced the fandom name for the Beomgyu cs fans.
Big Hit Entertainment released the announcement on the official TXT fancafe account. In the announcement, TXT fans will be called Young One. But apparently the announcement of the fandom name gave rise to a new controversy.
Because it's known that the fandom name is from one of Girls' Generation members, Tiffany is also Young One. That was said by Tifanny herself during her fanmeeting in Bangkok in September 2018.
"I decided to choose the name Young One because it means forever and you are forever. Young One is also connected with SONE (fans 'names of Girls' Generation), and we will be together forever," Tiffany said in her fanmeeting.
This certainly reaps the pros and cons. Some fans asked Big Hit Entertainment to immediately change the name of the fandom to avoid controversy. Fans were also concerned that this would have a negative impact on both parties.
In response to the problem, Tiffany and her agency finally spoke up. In his personal Twitter account, Tiffany thanked all the fans who sincerely supported him. Not to forget the singer also added the #youngones tag.
"For good, passion, & mercy. Thank you for your love and let's wish you the best #youngones," Tiffany wrote in her Twitter account.
Tiffany's new agency, Transparent Agency also commented on this issue and wrote on their official Twitter account. According to the agency, they will see how this issue is progressing and thank you for understanding all parties. Similar to Tiffany, Transparent Agency also adds #youngone hashtags.
"Thank you for your support and concern by showing love and positivity. We will see this #youngone," the agency wrote.
On the other hand, Big Hit Entertainment still hasn't responded to this issue. But many of the TXT and Tiffany fans insisted on asking the agency which also oversees Bangtan Boys to change the name of the fandom to avoid a bigger conflict.
